Our communities face a pandemic, and people living in poverty
need our help even more. For 50 years and 20 years respectively,
Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE) and Legal Aid of
Western Ohio, Inc. (LAWO) have helped people living in poverty
receive fair treatment and equal justice, benefiting the entire
community.
As ABLE and LAWO celebrate our 50th and 20th anniversaries, we
recognize all those we cannot help and the need to do more. When our
funding varies widely and often drops unexpectedly, our ability to serve
the community is threatened. In 2020, we faced new threats due to the
effect of the coronavirus pandemic on interest rates, filing fees, and other sources of funding.
Your financial support of ABLE and LAWO or one of our fundraising campaigns with local pro bono programs says that You Care About Justice For All. You will help protect the rights of the most marginalized people in our communities and the justice system.
