Careers with ABLE
We Value Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
ABLE is an Equal Opportunity Employer and places a high value on diversity in our workplace, including diversity in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and identity, age, and physical ability. We understand that no one person is “diverse” but that groups of non-homogenous people are diverse. We strive to create an environment welcoming to all individuals, and we encourage applications from individuals traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession.
As a legal profession, we are not where we need to be when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion. At ABLE, we have a genuine commitment to addressing this real problem. We continue to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are key components as we assess our institutional needs and resources and update our strategic plan.
We are serious about diversity and have made it an important part of who we are and what we want to be. By fostering a diverse, inclusive, and unbiased environment through regular events and programming, ABLE strives to ensure that individuals from all cultures and backgrounds feel included and welcome. Our Diversity and Inclusion Committee, our Summer Associate Recruitment Committee, and strategic planning teams have diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of our goals and decisions. Our Diversity Book Club is committed to diverse books and authors and leads to stimulating, and sometimes challenging discussions. Recent reads include White Fragility, Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson, and journal articles concerning Arabs and Muslims in the U.S.
